Ariel Pins
Ariel was one of Disney's most popular heroines. Ariel is a girl, well, technically a mermaid, in the process of becoming a woman or grown up mermaid if you will. One of her attractive qualities is that she is very definite about what she's doing and confident about her own ability to succeed.
Unfortunately that confidence is ill placed at times, as she is just a teenager and although she's warned by her father, King Triton, that humans are dangerous, Ariel believes otherwise and has an insatiable curiosity for them. She explores human artifacts (sunken ships, etc.) and is constantly going into forbidden territory: the surface. This, of course, leads her to love... and trouble, but there is a happy ending in classic Disney style.
