Sounds Like Summer Concert Series Announced - Thu, 04 Mar 2010
The Sounds Like Summer concert series, held annually at Epcot's America Gardens Theatre, features "tribute" bands that cover music by popular artists. Admission to the concert series is free with paid admission to the park.
The 2010 series runs from June 12 through July 31.
2010 SCHEDULE (subject to change):
* June 12-19: Stayin' Alive (Bee Gees)
* June 20-26: Hotel California (Eagles)
* June 27-July 3: TBD
* July 4-10: Satisfaction (Rolling Stones)
* July 11-17: Slippery When Wet (Bon Jovi)
* July 18-24: 2U (U2)
* July 25-31: Beginnings (Chicago)
Showtimes are 5:45, 7 and 8:15 p.m. nightly, except July 4 shows which are scheduled for 5:15, 6:30, 7:45 and 9 p.m.

Downtown Disney to Debut New Offerings - Thu, 04 Mar 2010
In the coming months, Downtown Disney will welcome several additions as part of its overall revitalization plan: two new stores, and 3D technology to the AMC Pleasure Island 24 theater. After its success at the Downtown Disney District in Disneyland in California, RIDEMAKERZ will open a new retail entertainment experience on the Westside of Downtown Disney for a limited engagement, March 25 through fall 2010. This store will integrate full-sized cars and a supercharged interactive experience that lets guests build, customize and trick out their very own radio-controlled vehicles.
D Street, a new apparel store opening in April, will feature edgy apparel, pop culture novelties, Vinylmation figures and collectibles, artwork, handbags, accessories, jewelry and more.
AMC Entertainment is currently upgrading auditorium one to be the first Enhanced Theater Experience (ETX) in the United States. The ETX auditorium will include a 20 percent larger, floor-to-ceiling screen, 3D technology, 12 channel audio and digital projection that delivers higher resolution that HD. AMC will debut the ETX auditorium in time for the premier of Alice in Wonderland in 3D on March 5.

Timeless Beauty Exhibit Opens at Epcot's Japan Pavilion - Sun, 21 Feb 2010
In 1971, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) adopted an international treaty to identify, protect and preserve natural and cultural places of outstanding value to humanity. World Heritage sites belong to all people, no matter the country in which they are located. The new "Timeless Beauty" exhibit in the Japan pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase spotlights the 14 World Heritage sites found throughout Japan. Main Street Electrical Parade Returns to Magic Kingdom! - Fri, 12 Feb 2010
The Main Street Electrical Parade will once again
light up the streets of Magic Kingdom and headlines a season of after-dark excitement coming to Walt Disney World Resort starting this June.
Dubbed Summer Nightastic, the season will feature the return of the beloved electrical parade with some new additions, as well as a special summer fireworks spectacular. In addition, the The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will add new lighting effects and a new drop sequence. The Sounds Like Summer concert series will also return to Epcot and evening hours at Disney's Animal Kingdom will be extended several times a week.
Dinner Change at Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom - Fri, 05 Feb 2010
As of February 7, 2010, Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table will now be the same as the Breakfast and Lunch character meals at the restaurant. When you arrive at the restaurant, Cinderella will welcome you to her castle in the lobby. At that time, she will pose for photos and sign autographs, then you will proceed upstairs to dine with other characters from Disney's Royal Family. (Characters subject to change without notice.) The official name for all three meals at the Castle will be Fairytale Dining at Cinderella's Royal Table, and all will require 2 entitlements when using the Disney Dining Plans.
