Goofy Pins
Good natured but not too bright, this cartoon character made his first appearance, somewhat disguised, as a member of the audience in "Mickey's Revue" (1932). Before long, Goofy was part of the gang that included the likes of Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto.
In the newspaper comics, this new character was first given the name Dippy Dawg. In a 1938 book entitled "The Story of Dippy the Goof," gave the creators the idea to permanently change his name and by 1939 the change was made to Goofy and ever since this goofball has lived in our hearts.
