Mulan Pins
In a place and time where young Chinese girls are supposed to be graceful, demure, and quiet, Mulan is quite the opposite. When her country is threatened by the invasion of Huns, Mulan runs away to join the army in her father's place. There she learns that her courage and determination offer her a way to bring honor to her family and herself.
Mulan is a new breed of Disney heroines who have surfaced in the '90s. She is courageous, more independent, and less worried about finding true love and a husband than earlier Disney animated maidens were. The character of Mulan is based on an ancient Chinese legend, which is said to tell the exploits of a real life girl warrior.
